Delete Your SHPRD Account
You can delete your SHPRD account and its associated data in the app, or ask us to delete it by email without signing in or installing the app.
Delete it in the app
- Leaders and administrators: open Settings, scroll to Delete account, and confirm.
- Students: open your profile menu, choose Delete account, and confirm.
- Parents and guardians: in the parent portal, open More, choose Download or delete our data, and submit a request to delete your child's data.
An administrator may first need to cancel or transfer active Apple, Google Play, or Stripe billing, or promote another administrator so the organization is not left without one. A subscription billed through Apple or Google Play can continue after account deletion unless it is canceled in that store.
Request deletion by email
Email support@shprd.life with the subject "Account Deletion Request." Include your name, the email address or phone number used with SHPRD, and the name of your church or ministry. A parent or guardian can make the request for a child by also including the child's name and their relationship to the child.
We verify identity and authority before deleting anything. We aim to acknowledge requests within 10 days and complete verified requests within 30 days. Do not send passwords, recovery codes, or identity documents by email.
What is deleted
- Your login and sign-in identifiers.
- Your profile, including name, email address, phone number, grade, group assignment, and profile photo.
- Push notification tokens tied to the account or student profile.
- Household and health information a parent provided, deleted with the student's profile.
- Records that exist only for that account, including personal prayer content tied only to the deleted login.
This data is removed from active systems within 30 days and ages out of protected backups within 90 days.
What may be kept, and for how long
- Organization and ministry records such as attendance, check-ins, event records, and prayer requests shared with the ministry: kept while the organization uses SHPRD and for up to 90 days after it stops, unless the organization deletes them sooner. Direct identifiers are removed when reasonably possible.
- Security and recovery logs: up to 12 months, with restricted access.
- Notification delivery records: up to 12 months.
- Diagnostics: redacted crash and performance records for up to 90 days.
- Purchase and billing records: transaction, tax, accounting, dispute, and fraud records for up to 7 years.
Deleting an individual account does not dissolve the organization or erase its shared ministry records. To have a specific retained record removed, contact the church or ministry, or email us and we will help with the request. The full schedule is in the Privacy Policy retention section.
