SHPRD Legal
Privacy Choices
Use this process for your own information or, if you are authorized, for a child's information.
What you can request
- Access to or a portable copy of personal information.
- Correction of inaccurate account, roster, or student information.
- Deletion of an account, student profile, or specific content.
- Withdrawal of consent or help disabling direct youth access.
- Restriction of processing or an appeal of a denied request, where applicable.
Start with the right contact
Organization administrators control ministry records such as rosters, attendance, prayer requests, notes, and event records. Contact the participating church or ministry first when possible. SHPRD handles requests about SHPRD-controlled login, service-security, billing-administration, and support data, and can assist an organization with its response.
You can delete your own leader or administrator login in account settings. The app may require administrators to resolve active Apple or Stripe billing, promote another organization administrator, or transfer organization responsibilities before deletion can finish. Students can delete their student profile from the student profile menu. Review the Privacy Policy retention section for records that may lawfully remain after account deletion.
Email a request
Email privacy@shprd.life with the subject "Privacy Request." Include:
- Your name and the email address or phone number used with SHPRD.
- The participating organization's name.
- The specific access, correction, deletion, consent, or appeal request.
- Your state or country so we can apply the correct legal requirements.
- For a youth request, your relationship to the child and the child's name.
Do not send passwords, recovery codes, prayer details, or identity documents by ordinary email. If additional proof is needed, we will provide a safer way to send it.
Verification and timing
Before disclosing or deleting information, we verify the requestor's identity and authority using information already associated with the account or organization. Parent and guardian requests also require reasonable proof of the relationship to the child. We may coordinate with an organization administrator without revealing the contents of a sensitive prayer request or note before authority is verified.
We aim to acknowledge requests within 10 days and complete verified requests within 30 days. We will explain if we need more time or cannot complete part of a request because another person's privacy, an organization's lawful recordkeeping need, fraud prevention, or another legal obligation applies.
Youth-data concerns
SHPRD's direct student experience is designed for students in grades 6–12, and direct use by a child under 13 requires verified parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 used SHPRD directly without verified parental consent, put "Under-13 Privacy" in the email subject. We will prioritize disabling direct access and determining whether the information should be deleted or handled through a valid parent/organization consent process.
Our COPPA Children's Privacy Notice explains what SHPRD collects from children under 13 and how a parent can review, delete, or refuse it.
